At The Bucket Pros, we always look for ways to help our clients run more efficient, sustainable, and profitable ranges. One of the best ways to do that today is with automated ball picking — and that is exactly where Pik’r comes in.
Pik’r is a fully autonomous golf ball picking robot that can handle the job for you, day after day, quietly and reliably. It is used at some of the world’s top golf resorts, and we are proud to offer it to clients in Spain, Portugal, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Benelux and Germany.
With Pik’r, you can significantly reduce labor costs, lower your energy use, and create a better experience for both your staff and your golfers. No more early mornings or late evenings spent driving a picker out onto the range. No more interruptions during busy hours. Pik’r takes care of it all, while you focus on the things that really make your range stand out.
And since Pik’r requires no special installation or buried wires, you can start using it on your existing range right away. You also get full control through the Pik’r Connect App, making it easy to schedule picking runs, monitor progress, and manage your operations from anywhere.

Pik’r-X uses Artificial intelligence to know when the baskets are full, and automatically returns to its default home position for manual or automatic emptying of the baskets.
It is the most versatile robot of its kind in the industry, and works with up to 3 gangs of purpose-built range picker. It can make sharp turns, and climb most steep slopes.
12-hour continuous runtime, and a capacity to pick up to 3,600 balls per circuit with optional ball-dumping mechanism. It covers up to 21.000 square meters per hour.
For a fully automated setup, Pik’r can be equipped with an automatic dumping function. This allows Pik’r to drive autonomously to a collection ditch, open its compartments, and release the balls for soaking and pre-washing before they are transported to the ball washer. From there, the balls continue to a hub where they are temporarily stored before being transported by air through pipes to one or multiple dispensers.
When equipped with automatic dumping, the 3-gang model can handle up to 4,500 balls per round, compared to 3,600 balls with the manual basket solution.
Together with our complete total Ball Management System, Pik’r becomes part of a seamless, end-to-end automated flow. The entire system can be controlled and monitored remotely through Pik’r Connect and our unique Seve Range Management System.

Pik’r is designed to work in tough conditions, from smaller clubs to high-volume driving ranges that require day long operation and high ball picking capacity. Driving Ranges are not always pristine terrain so the Pik’r is built rugged, like a tractor. The very solid design ethos is based on our previous experience in building farming robots where durability is important.
Pik’r navigates autonomously via GNSS and is programmed to follow multiple routes and patterns around the Driving Range. These routes are dynamic and can be changed or altered very quickly.
Yes, The AI-powered and smart which means it will learn where most balls are typically located, creating a 'heat map' of the driving range whereby it will be able to run the most efficient route.
The Pik’r has multiple obstacle detection features. There are 4 cameras, one on each side, and LIDAR (LIght Detection And Ranging technology) on the front of the robot.consectetur adipisicing elit. Pik’r is a 2-wheel drive robot, using power on the rear pair of wheels for traction, whilst the front wheels steer the robot. The two electric motors are strong with surplus power which allows it to operate efficiently on steep inclines and various surfaces, providing excellent manoeuvrability and grip.
It's designed to handle steep slopes and inclines, and formally 15 degrees (equivalent to a 27% grade) is guaranteed. With its strong traction and ability to operate on varied, hilly driving range terrains it will handle most driving ranges – a striking example is a club in Northern USA whose uphill driving range is a ski slope during the Winter. Furthermore, Pik’r can be programmed, and will learn, to drive and pick the range ‘horizontally’, ie from side to side (as opposed to uphill/downhill) to save power and increase efficiency.
Pik’r is programmed so that the wheels won’t spin if it gets stuck due to soggy conditions or steep inclines. It will then stop and turn in order to save the surface and minimise damage. It will also randomise and vary it’s picking pattern to avoid
Our trained representatives do the installation. Mapping of the range & obstacles is done with input from the facility staff about ball density patterns, areas of the range to be avoided or any other unique aspects of your property..
Pik’r has optional ball dumping functionality. Our studies have shown that it takes less than 2 minutes to empty the baskets manually and takes about 1 minute to automatically empty the baskets (auto-dump) on select models.
When full, the Pik’r drives to the designated spot to dump the balls into a purpose-build ditch. The Bucket Pros provides a washer/blower solution that cleans the balls and then blows them (up to 300 meters) to the ball dispenser.
Depending on the model and terrain, all models are designed to run a full workday before needing to recharge, 10-12 hours. The Pik’r will never run out of battery and will charge to the optimal level of about 80% full to maximise battery life.
As the high-capacity battery on the Pik’r has sufficient power to work an entire day, this feature is not required. The Pik’r Returns home and alerts range staff (via the app or text message) when battery is low and it’s time to plug it in for charging.
4-8 hours for a complete charge depending on the state of charge.
Yes, the Pik’r models are designed to withstand hits by golf balls. It is built with a strong stainless steel cover and high-resistance polymer (same material as hockey rink boards).

Pik’r can be monitored and commanded to run any path using Pik’r Connect, a custom Mobile application (available on Apple App Store and Google Play Store). A physical Radio Controller Joystick is also provided to allow the operator to manually drive the Pik´r whenever needed.
Yes, the Pik’r operates perfectly in cold Winter conditions. As all lithium batteries however, it needs to be charged at a temperature of minimum 5 degrees Celsius
We offer a 5-year warranty on the Pik’r-X robot’s battery, a long-lasting LiFePO4 (lithium iron phosphate) unit. The Pik’r robot itself comes with a 1-year warranty, which can be extended for an additional fee..
Pik’ is available for purchase and can usually also be financed through a leasing arrangement with your bank, if desired. If you are part of The Bucket Pros program, rental of Pik’r may also be possible. Get in touch with us, and we will help find the best solution for your business.
