Landeryd Colf Club invests heavily in its driving range together with The Bucket Pros.

Landeryd is one of the biggest golf clubs in Sweden with three full length 18-hole courses, including “The Masters” course which has hosted both the Nordea Masters and the Swedish PGA Championship over the years. Landeryd also proudly boasts the nation’s largest junior program, including activities such as “golf fun” for children, junior training and golf camps, and Future Team for aspiring elites.

With the purpose of being able to offer top-class training possibilities all year round – for golfers at all levels – Landeryd is now making a substantial investment in its driving range.

“We want our golf facilities to be the complete package for everything golf and simultaneously be a positive force in our society as a whole, and we are constantly working to further expand our offer”, says Björn Sturehed, CEO and Club Director at Landeryd. “Therefore, we work purposefully with questions regarding development in various areas, and up next is a substantial investment in our driving range. This will allow us to offer training possibilities all year round in a modern and cozy environment for our members and guests that we are very proud of.”

The recently inaugurated brand new construction includes two studios and five modules, resulting in a total of 28 new bases on two floors with 14 bases being in weather protected rooms equipped with infrared heating. The top floor is furthermore equipped with a large putting green in artificial grass. The company entrusted to design and install the construction was The Bucket Pros.

“In the fall of 2019, we decided that we would deliver complete solutions to enable golfers to play and practice all year round, 24/7, even in our Nordic climate that typically restricts winter play”, says Andreaz Lindberg, CEO and founder of The Bucket Pros. “This developed into what we today call ‘FrontYard Solutions’. We are extremely proud and delighted to have been chosen by Landeryd to design and deliver an attractive and modern practice facility for their driving range, which means their season never has to come to a close.”

In addition, all 28 bases are connected to TrackMan Range, and with the help of The Bucket Pros Landeryd has installed a new ball management system, including more ball dispensers for easier access to range balls.

For Björn Sturehed and Landeryd, this investment is not only important in order to improve the golf experience for current members and guests, it is also important to attract the golfers of the future.

“The golf club is the heart of Landeryd, and we continuously reinvest in our facilities to create more value for our members. The driving range and all the training that takes place there is an enormously important part of our entire business. Today, we have six coaches that work with around 220 junior golfers and who are there for all our members that wish to improve their game. We realized that to provide more opportunities for everyone to play and practice golf, we needed to add more bases and extend our opening hours. Not only during the spring and fall when the afternoons get dark, but also during the cold winter season. With weather protection, lighting, heating and everything else our new facility offers, along with the interactive TrackMan Range system connected to all bases, we make our range more attractive both for the golfers of today and for the golfers of tomorrow. With this investment in the driving range, we can offer golf and comradery to so many more people, all year round”, concludes Björn Sturehed.
